Join me on a multi-day, fully immersive bear-viewing experience in the pristine wilderness of the Alaska Peninsula, placing you right in the stunning heart of coastal brown bear territory. With virtually endless photography opportunities, we’ll be shooting in all lighting conditions—from dawn to dusk—without the pressure of a same-day pickup. The peace and magic of being alone in Katmai, surrounded by silence and nature, is something that must be felt, not just described.

Location: Katmai National Park (To protect the privacy and exclusivity of our camp, the actual site will only be provided upon direct inquiry or after booking)

Fitness Level: Easy-Moderate. You should be in good enough condition to carry your pack while walking 3-8 miles/day on relatively flat ground with several breaks.

Tour Highlights:

Every possible photography option, as you’re on the ground sharing the days with the bears and camping right there with them, eliminating flying back and forth every day to location or being shuttled to and from a noisy ship and missing all the good light.

Guests can see up to two dozen + bears per day at this location

Potential to see moose, red foxes, wolves, and a passing wolverine. This location has a high probability of wolf viewing as they are seen often.

What’s Included:

Guided tour with experienced wildlife professional and Stan Novotny as your photograhy guide.

Camp Accommodations - Each guest will have their own 3-person tent for space/gear storage, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, pillow, table, solar charging, lantern, fan and/or heater.

2-3 backcountry meals/day (Lunch may be protein bars in the field)
